Warning! – beware of cold-callers asking you to change your direct debit details
We have been made aware that our customers and those of other major providers have been receiving cold-calls from companies claiming to have “taken over” from their current provider.
These companies have cold-called elderly customers by telephone to persuade them to change their direct debit details under a false pretext of having taken over our business and offering what we believe is worthless “cover” in exchange.
If you are contacted by anyone claiming to be either from CORGI HomePlan or having taken over from CORGI HomePlan who requests that you change your Direct Debit details in their favour please contact our customer care team on 0800 085 0845

Need to book an engineer?
If you need an engineer, we’ll arrange for one to come round as soon as possible. If you call before 9.00am they will aim to be with you on the same day. And in an emergency – such as an uncontrolled water leak, we always aim to get to you within two hours.
We have a nationwide network of over 5,000 trained and qualified Gas Safe engineers, plumbers and electricians on hand should anything go wrong with your boiler, pipes, radiators, electrics or plumbing.

Does your boiler need serviced?
As part of most CORGI HomePlan cover packages, we offer an annual service to make sure your boiler is in order and working properly for you. When you sign up, we’ll advise you when your annual service will be and then the month prior, we will be in touch to agree a time that suits you.
Better still, the engineer will also check your radiators and your hot water tank whilst they are there, giving you extra peace of mind that your whole heating system is in order.
As part of your service, our engineers will:
- Open up the boiler and inspect it, checking the flue and ventilation are in accordance with Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
- Carry out a boiler service in accordance with industry best practice.
- Conduct a flue gas analysis efficiency and calibration test.
- Check and adjust the system pressure and cleaning the condensate.
- Check and clean any magnetic filter cartridges.
- Visually check and bleed radiators as necessary, check the hot water tank and re-pressurise the system.
What's not covered
- Damage, faults or repairs required.
- Testing the system for the presence of sludge.
- Testing or topping up system inhibitor levels.
- Checking for any pre-existing faults.
