We want to give GPs the power to spot CO poisoning and save lives.

Every death from carbon monoxide poisoning is preventable and CORGI HomePlan is on a mission to make them a thing of the past. By signing our petition to put near-patient testing devices in GP surgeries, you will be helping boost diagnosis and stop people dying.

The medical profession is backing our campaign for speedier diagnosis of the ‘silent killer’.

In a survey of 200 family practitioners, 93% admitted they would like a near patient device.

Despite so many high-profile tragedies, our research also revealed that carbon monoxide awareness is low among the nation’s healthcare professionals.

Just 2% admit that they ‘occasionally’ consider patients may be suffering CO poisoning from household appliances, with 18% never giving it a thought when examining a patient, even when they show symptoms.

We can change this - sign our petition for change NOW.

"The GISG welcomes this initiative by CORGI HomePlan, to ensure better availability and use of this important equipment by healthcare professionals. Our members have been campaigning for over 25 years to improve awareness of CO poisioning, and to improve the safety regime within the UK’s gas industry. It seems entirely sensible that GPs are now equipped with the most appropriate tool to help them diagnose CO."

Chris Bielby
Chair of the UK association
"As these symptoms can be confused with so many others, we need to ask the right questions to identify if a home appliance such as a cooker or boiler may be causing the symptoms. It is also crucial to carry out a test, and the near-patient tester undoubtedly has the potential to save many lives."
