Reporting to the Insight Manager, you will be a key member of the CORGI team, and an opportunity to forge an exciting career in a complex, dynamic and data-centric business.  

The person in this role will be jointly responsible for the core data and insight capability within the business, responsible for delivering high quality MI and insight to support the businesses’ exciting growth agenda, and ensuring we provide clean and consistent customer-level data to our underwriting partner.   

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Insight Manager by:

  • Creating and producing KPI reporting and MI in general, including analysing performance against targets and investigating root causes of variances

  • Producing clean and consistent customer level data on a monthly basis for our underwriting partners

  • Proactively delivering actionable insights to drive improvements in performance and help the business hit its strategic objectives.  Your recommendations will feed into business strategy to enable informed decisions.

  • Supporting on big insight projects - gathering requirements, interrogating our databases, extracting data and performing complex data analysis.

  • Summarising key findings and presenting insights/recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Support senior management and departments with their day to day needs including analysis and reporting to facilitate business decisions.

  • Act as key stakeholder in maintaining the overall database structures and inputting into database development projects in order to ensure integrity and robustness of data


Essential skills and experience:

  • Degree educated in a numeric, scientific or engineering discipline.

  • Ideally 1-2 years in a similar analytical role, but graduates with a relevant degree  (ie Maths or Statistics) will certainly be considered.

  • Good understanding of advanced analytical techniques, both on a theoretical and practical level.

  • Able to interpret and deliver data in a meaningful format and provide key recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Strong data manipulation skills, able to identify discrepancies and validate data to ensure accuracy.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel – use of complex formula and functions and pivot tables.

  • Have a real passion/curiosity to provide business insight and the ambition to move your career to a more senior role in the future

Other qualities and experience which would be beneficial include:

  • Experience in a data-rich B2C subscription service business (eg telcos, utilities, financial services etc)

  • Coding experience including use of Microsoft SQL Server (complex queries across multiple tables/unions), and ideally other programmes such as ‘R’ or Python

The successful candidate will be part of a small team with a wide range of stakeholders each with business critical demands.  The capacity to manage competing priorities and manage a range of stakeholders is key.
